Preferred case messes with intellisense autocomplete

With the preferred case set to upper, it will only suggest and complete my variable names in uppercase even though they are defined in camel case. If I have it set to camel case, it will only suggest and complete the keywords in lowercase.
It is not uncommon to have the keywords in uppercase and the variables in camel case. The preferred case should not mess with suggesting the names of variables that are already defined.
